About Brian Ramisch

Brian Ramisch is a certified massage therapist, reiki master healer, and health educator. He has studied numerous styles of manual therapy and healing arts at National Holistic Institute, Upledger Institiute, California State University Northridge, Barral Institute, the Zero Balancing Health Association, and through the Hakkoryu school of traditional Japanese shiatsu and jujutsu. Over the years his practices of massage, shiatsu, craniosacral therapy, energy healing, meditation, and martial arts have merged into a unique, intuitive style of bodywork that he calls Shiatsu Alchemy. Brian is a firm believer in the body’s ability to heal itself, and Shiatsu Alchemy has evolved as a powerful aid to that natural healing process.

Having suffered from chronic pain, depression, and anxiety himself, Brian is particularly attuned to the many complicated experiences these conditions can bring.

He is aware that with a compassionate sensitivity to ourselves we can cultivate a safe space to heal.

Meditation, bodywork, and movement have been instrumental in helping Brian manage and relieve his own pain and stress, and have shaped his practice and deepened his appreciation for the body and it’s energy and processes. His passion for helping others on their healing journeys is born out of his direct experience of the power of this work, and he is honored to be able to share what he has learned.

With a long history in the creative arts, Brian is also very interested in the healing and cathartic power of sound and music. He hosts a sound healing podcast, Sonic Meditation, and enjoys performing sound baths and experimental meditative sonic explorations, as well as improvised devotional drone music with duo Abacus, and rock n roll with quartet Shell Dwellers.

Brian lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Lauren, and cats, Zero and Blixa.
